Oldsmar is another great location to live in Pinellas County! Located north of Tampa Bay Oldsmar is a sought after location. In April of 1916, automobile pioneer Ransom E. Olds (Oldsmobile) purchased 37,541 acres to establish a planned community. While it never took off the way he anticipated, the Olds name stuck. Currently, Oldsmar boasts 10 miles of waterfront, which includes the Mobbly Bayou - a 396 acre wilderness preserve. There are trails, picnic shelters, a fishing pier, observation platform and canoe launch. Oldsmar has more park space per square mile than anywhere else in Florida (click here to learn more!). Additionally, the Oldsmar Flea Market is one of the largest flea markets and a great destination with over 250 vendors and free parking (click here to access their website). Woodlands Square is a shopping plaza with numerous restaurants, a movie theater and stores. Oldsmar's location provides very easy access to Tampa International, Raymond James Stadium and all that Downtown Tampa has to offer.
